Hi, I wrote a letter to the Kontoret for integrationspolitik, from whom we have received the letter recommending we should change language school. The email address is: Qt27@bif.kk.dk
Those of us who comes for the EU and can vote on Copenhagen Municipal Elections perhaps could use this fact as a way of influencing their actions. Following is the letter if you wish to send it.

Dear Sirs,
I was currently attending Danish classes at the language school KISS. I just recently received notice of the Kommune retiring the support to the school and thus I cannot longer continue my Danish education in that center.
First of all I want it to make a comment on receiving the notification in Danish. Common sense will tell that if I could perfectly understand such a letter I would not need to take Danish classes. Please, I, like many other foreigners who join the work force of this country and are tax contributors would appreciate a small deference as to be informed in a language we mostly understand (English for example).
Secondly, we are not happy with this situation, to say the least. Whatever the conflict, it should not affect the students. Kiss has a long standing reputation of been a good school and having a great teaching method that not only benefits the newcomer to this country but obviously Danish society as a whole.
Rest assured that many of us as European citizens and voters on Københavns municipal elections will be taking into account the way the Kommune is handling these issues. We will not be just inactive bystanders.
though i believe the position of KISS to be 100% genuine and honest, I would like to ask the Kommune to put forward their case to us as well, on the grounds that we are an important group of people affected by the dispute. What I would like to avoid (purely as a matter of strategy) is geting into the argument without having heard the reasons of all parties involved.
PROPOSAL
Would it be a good idea to ask the Kommune to attend a student meeting and present officially the case in a Q&A scenario? We could also invite press and media to the debate adding publicity and hopefully increasing the opportunities for the debate to reach a wider audience and more public interest.
Hye.I already sent the letter to the commune and some newspapers also.If everybody will do that,I really think it will help. And I find Lorenzos idea, to meet with the commune and pres in the same time PERFECT. I hope we can arange that. I cant come on monday, but I will keep my self informed. See you on wendsday. Bye.
Dear all, I truly find it necessary for us to meet the representatives from KBH Kommune on this case in order to be more properly informed about what has been the essence of this conflict. I am willing to write to both the Kommune and other media channels to defend our interests, but fist I see the need for us to grasp the situation more thoroughly.
Do you think it will help if some of us can arrange to go down together or to write an actual letter together to the Kommune's integrations politk department (that sent us the letters to change language schools)to ask them to come for a Q & A session, that Lorenzo suggested?
I was wondering if maybe that kind of more conventional/official way of communicating to them may help more.
Thank you so much for your efforts and engagements in our good course, and for your great suggestions and comments. You should know that I respect and admire you for your daily efforts in learning Danish - and now also for your fighting spirit in this difficult situation.
Please rest assured that I will keep you updated.
For your information, I was on Danish television (TV2 Lorry - look at www.TV2.dk) last night, Saturday Sept. 29 at 19:30.
Keep up the spirit and go for it! I'll do the same.
This is an update to the meeting we had earlier today.
Please note the following and forward to all those concerned:
Meeting time re Wednesday (3 Oct) demonstration has been moved from 12 noon to 11 am.
Meeting point is at K.I.S.S. at 11 am. We walk to the Rådhusplads at 11:30 am and get there at approximately 12 noon. We are allowed to hold the demonstration up to 1 pm at the latest.
Please bring your family, friends, co-workers and everyone else supporting us.

If you write to the Kommune like Julio and Magdalena intend to, would it be a good idea to CC the letter to press and media?

Hej!
I really think as well that the idea with the meeting is really good. We should try to talk to the morning class about it.
I wrote letters to Berlingske, Politiken and TV2.

Forstander, KISS
Has anyone thought about getting former students involved as well? Some of them might be in a position to help maybe.
Lorenzo
